The house we stayed at in Stamford, VT had a wonderful selection of romance novels. I was giddy with excitement and wanted to read them all, but I only had time for one: Better Than The Movies by Lynn Painter.
The story transported me back to high school – reminding me of the dramas and questionable decisions I made in my senior year which don’t make any sense to an adult but makes total sense to a teenager. Oh gawd, the whole life or death prom decisions of who to go with, who not to go with and then just going with your friends in the end but still dancing with the boy that you wanted to go with… *sigh*
The last couple chapters were so full of heart and comedy that I re-read it a few times.
Now, I’ve come to find out that there is a sequel: Nothing Like The Movies. I guess I will be adding even more to my never ending TBR list.
