We had the quintessential New England winter weekend filled with snowboarding and sledding down a hill with fresh snow. Last year, we were hoping to get some snowboard lessons in for the kiddo, but we never made it to the mountain. We had all his gear ready too, most of which he outgrew :/
Snowboarding again after 10+ years was an interesting time especially having to hoist my older / post-baby body up after every fall…and there were a lot. But I did get on my toes for a good amount of time (even though I couldn’t connect my turns) so I’ll take whatever progress I can get.
We’re just super happy the kiddo had a great time. He loved it. The instructors at Bradford Ski were fantastic and they very much appreciated the pull string on his snowboard 😀 We picked this mountain because they offer snowboard classes for our kiddo’s age group and it’s family-friendly. Really great vibes. We’re definitely going back.
This morning we woke up to 4.5” of snow. Not bad at all – just enough for some sledding fun but not so much that it makes life a pain. The husband found us a beautiful hill and after 5 runs, I was out. The steep climb back to the top did me in.
It was much needed time off for all of us. Thankful or these moments together.
