The husband found a Dog Man book release event at Aesop’s Fable bookshop in Holliston, MA on Veteran’s Day and off we went. Was it a trek? Yes, but it was worth it.
The shop was so welcoming and cozy. I also loved the assortment of books on display — a couple titles caught my eye.
East Coasting: The Ultimate Roadtripper’s Guide to New England by Christine Chitnis and Monica Dorazewski
The illustrations had me hooked.
The Field Guide to Dumb Birds of North America by Matt Kracht
So, the husband was the one who spotted this book and told me I needed to check it out. He knows me well because I was just dying. The humor is right up my alley and it’s already had an effect on me. It inspired me to draw the crazy eyes bird aka Common Loon for day 42.
It was a great day for a book haul and discovering a new favorite book shop.
