The WBUR Festival 2025

It was the inaugural 3-day event for conversations, community building and new discoveries organized by WBUR. For my part, it was a culmination of a year’s work helping to lay down the look which wasn’t too difficult given that we had a such a beautiful refreshed brand color to work with – true yellow.

To see the color come to life along Comm Ave, at the Street Fair and on stage brought a lot of energy, joy and pride for a job well done.

Aside from that, I loved learning from thought leaders (both who I agreed with and didn’t agree with) and being inspired by their creativity and drive to make a difference in the world.

the WBUR cube honoring the past and showing the future.
The Design Matters conversation with Debbie Millman and Joy Buolamwini about AI was eye opening.
I checked out the KidStage for Frank and Bean – it was a packed house.
I had to check out the Comics & Adventure Draw Off between Shaina Lu, Jannie Ho and Raul The Third.
At the Street Fair, I bumped into an old friend Shelli Paroline and finally met IG friend Jillian King IRL – cartoonists extraordinaires at the Boston Comic Arts Foundation booth.
The last session I was able to catch was a talk with Kristen Kish and Karen Akunowicz.
Can’t wait to read Kristen’s memoir.
