Aesop’s Fable Bookshop in Holliston, MA
The husband found a Dog Man book release event at Aesop’s Fable bookshop in Holliston, MA on Veteran’s Day and off we went. Was it a trek? Yes, but it was worth it. The shop was so welcoming and cozy. I also loved the assortment of books on display — a couple titles caught my…

A September Beach Day
It was a perfect beach day in Duxbury yesterday. The parking lot was pretty much empty – also, no usual $25 parking fee. It was warm with a cool breeze. We’re squeezing every last bit of summer as the weather will allow.

“Better Than The Movies” by Lynn Painter
The house we stayed at in Stamford, VT had a wonderful selection of romance novels. I was giddy with excitement and wanted to read them all, but I only had time for one: Better Than The Movies by Lynn Painter. The story transported me back to high school – reminding me of the dramas and…

An August Day at Mass MoCA
It’s my favorite museum. For me, there’s more of a connection to the artwork because it is contemporary – especially when artists create commentary on culture and the current social challenges. At the same time, I appreciate and am inspired by the more experimental work where boundaries, viewpoints and mediums are pushed. Dirty DisorderlyPhách Lạc…

May TBR List
Branding is so much more than the logo, colors and typography. It’s the language, tone and point of view. There’s a lot that goes into it – market research, surveys, building personas, forming a collection of principles that will help serve as a guide and then galvanizing everyone to live & breathe it. Our marketing…

March TBR List
Did I read everything from my Jan/Feb TBR list? Of course not, but that didn’t stop me from adding a few more creative books and graphic novels / comic books to my collection.

My Jan/Feb Design TBR List
The theme is color. I recently added three color books after seeing one of them pop up in my Threads feed. It’ll be fun and interesting to learn about the histories and stories behind color, how it’s applied in different ways and the psychology of it in terms of user experience. Hopefully, I’ll be able…
